Setting up a chain of stores
- Add each store as an office location with its map point and clock-in radius.
- Create shifts for morning, evening and full-day staff, with grace minutes, break allowance and weekly offs.
- Make the store manager the reporting manager for that store's staff.
- Plan each week on the roster: who works which shift, and who is off on which day.
- At month end, paid days and loss of pay come from the monthly register into payroll.
Store managers and HR
Store managers see their own team's attendance and approve their requests; HR sees all stores.
Rules that suit stores and outlets
- Clock-in blocked or flagged outside the store radius
- Short leave for coming late or leaving early, within monthly limits
- Overtime from hours beyond the shift, with separate multipliers for working days and for weekly offs and holidays
- Late-coming cuts after a set number of free late marks a month, if your policy has them
Frequently asked questions
Do weekly offs have to be Sundays?
No. Weekly offs are set per shift and the roster can give anyone any day off.
Do we need a device at each store?
No. Staff clock in from their own phone, and the location is checked against the store. HR can add punches for anyone without a phone.
Can a store manager approve only their own staff?
Yes. Requests go to the reporting manager, so each store manager sees and approves their own team. HR sees all stores.
